Since picking up my Ocean I've noticed a very annoying noise from the rear passenger side when driving, like a metal and glass sound, not a plastic squeak, and I think I've narrowed it down to coming from the the passenger side rear sliding door.

When I open the door and compare it to the other door, there is up and down movement of the top runner on the noisy door whereas the drivers side door is rock solid.

Has anyone had a similar issue and or known the resolution, obviously if it's something major it will be going into the dealers for repair?

I had a very similar noise and was convinced there was something wrong with the passenger side sliding door. I went for a test drive with a technician and he worked out it was a rattling (plastic) fuel pipe which had not been clipped in properly. Probably not your cause but I thought it worth mentioning.

Just taken my Cali to the dealer and while demonstrating the rattle, slamming the passenger front door you could hear the rattle, the mechanic gripped the awning and the slam rattle didn't happen, we did go for a drive and he agreed he could hear the rattle which does sound like it's coming from inside the door, but I guess as the awning is bolted to the roofline any rattle could be transmitted into the cali interior.

The big test would be to remove the awning and see if it's still there, I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't do that before taking it in.

I'll see what the garage say later.

Take a look inside the awning. There should be 2 plastic clips that stop the legs rattling against the casing. The clips may be present but the position need adjustment. There are threads on this - an old problem with an easy fix.
