North Devon trip help wanted, then onto COTF

Hi. I'm planning 5 days (so perhaps 2 sites) somewhere nice prior to the COTF weekend. North Devon looks a possibility (and I know it's popular with campervans).
Can I ask if you have any top tips for 'one man and his dog' exploring that area for the first time?
We do like beaches; in a perfect world they'd be accessible on foot from the campsite.

I have possibly mentioned this before, but North Morte farm is a great campsite, walking distance to the village, also Watermouth cove which has its own private beach but is a little bit on the commercial side but should be fine out of season.

You will be spoilt for choice down here, just drive along the coast road out of Lynmouth heading west and you will just see sign after sign for campsites.

I will keep a look out for you ..
