Scottish Trip - campsites heaving

Just back from Braemar campsite, it was full but not busy if that makes sense. No queues for facilities and plenty of space on the site to move around and all in all very peaceful. The village itself is only a 5-10 minute walk away with many places to eat.

That is a nice site - we stopped there about 3 years ago pre-pandemic. We arrived on the Sunday and were a little bothered as we dropped down into Braemar seeing signs saying 'Gathering Car Park F'....it had just been the Highland Gathering where Queen is the Chief and attends so place had been heaving and we'd just missed it - phew. the Sunday eve was expensive as people were still staying over but the Monday was normal prices. Nice site and town - ideal location to visit Balmoral!!
