We did a trip in south Norway in june three years ago....seeing this and @WelshGas his posts makes me wonder why we did not go back yet....:)

Can highly recommend this camping below. The one above was pretty crowded. More expensive and noisy for sleeping in a tent.
We consider this one the best in Norway and stay there each trip twice a year.
The location is priceless. And a nice hike nearby.
Just 200nok with electricity. And cheap nice cabins.
Magnillen camping.

Can easily catch a fish from the shore here :)

So how does this look for an itinerary Bergen to Trondheim with two young children, trying to keep driving to under 4 hours per day:

We hardly ever plan and improvise, sometimes turning in circles. :) Found most amazing places just turning by the tourist signs and making 100-200 km detours.
You should definitely take this road right from Bergen. 1st rule we've learned years ago. Avoid all "E"-roads at all cost. Any road with 3-4 digits in its name is your adventure friend :) Sometimes unpaved.

Here is an example we might have gone from Bergen :)

Agree with @Sp0_0k , if you plan to much you miss out on to much sometimes ,
Plan a general route and go with the flow , we also never book sites up front , what comes allong the road is what counts.....

Seems you got a drone that goes high up....?

Ok , i am not looking at this tread anymore from now on......drooling all over the Ipad...

;)

Based on your recommendation, I have managed to squeeze an extra two days into our drive from Bergen to Trondheim, up from five to seven days.

In total we have 33 days from entering Norway at the south from Sweden to leaving Norway in the north to Finland.

Nature in Norway is amazing , makes me even more wonder why i live in this hellhole called Belgium!
:Depressed

Here is the video from the trip.
Fantastic video. Beware, I suddenly lost contact with my Mavic and never found it again. Dji offered 30% off drone only as compensation from their online store but that is more or less the same as list price in Sweden.

Lost contact with it once. After remote reboot it got signal again but it should do return to home when signal is lost.
Where did you lose it?

I lost contact with it and saw it coming down real quick crashing into a tree. I cant find it, its quite well camouflaged.

Never had a problem with any of my drones. Possible cause is that the compass needed calibrating as you moved around the country.
If the Mavic goes walkabout a possible way to locate it is by looking at the map of the phone screen which gives a rough location. I know that some people have found theirs again after flyaways by that method and then searching on foot. Some have taken a couple of hours of looking but at least found the drone.
