Just to introduce myself, in northern Italy, have a California T5 from 2005.... a million holidays later and most things are broken, but given the incredible convenience AND economic investment in a million repairs, we are still holding into it.
Found this forum looking for inspiration to change the motorized roof to a manual pop up ( it seems the only long term solution to our woes)
and also trying to get the passenger door to open!!
Any help absolutely welcome,

Do you mean the front passenger door or the sliding door?
