does anyone know whether it's possible to track progress of California orders on-line? I've found the VW tracking site for cars but it won't accept my VWorder number so I presume that site is for cars only.

Thanks WelshGas. I went back to the dealer - build confirmed for week 4. Hopefully good for a handover on 1 March.
