As per title, just scraped a portion of thumb skin off. Is it just me but on both my hook up leads both plugs are such a tight/awkward fit.
Is it the plugs or the van socket?
Also what’s the idea with the plastic lever thingy? Push it when inserting or retracting.

The lever locks the plug into the socket. A tight fit is part of the design to make the connection weather (rain) proof. Never had a problem personally.

 

[Stargazing]

A little silicone spray rubbed on with a cloth could improve it around the plug external and socket internal or even a change of plug on the lead if still no better.
Lever down with left hand and wiggle plug out with right, but if you can do it single handed then all the better. Colder weather is no help either but a tight fit keeps out the elements.
