Paperwork after a Lift kit fit

Hi,

I've just ordered a VW California Beach 140cv 4motion and the estimated time of delivery is April-May (not yet confirmed ).

One of the first thing I would like to fit is a Seikel Lift kit.

My question is whether at UK, one a vehicle change its high, it should get some certification, pass a MOT, or something else to be legal.

No need for MOT in the UK until the Cali is 3 years old.

You should tell your insurance company or it may be invalid.

It may also invalidate your warranty on associated parts with VW, like other steering, suspension parts, wheels and tyres and lots of other parts as VW feel like.

Good to know is that easy.

I have to recognize that I'm impressed, at my country we have to get a certificate from any approved industrial engineer (there are companies that provide this service), and the pass the MOT equivalent, event if your vehicle is new.

To avoid the VW warranty issues I was thinking in order my Cali with the lift kit they sell, I think they are made by Seikel, but I'm not sure. Also don't know how much they could cost.
