Two types;

Model 600 with a bed that is longitudinal, with an additional ‘bit’ that sticks out of the side to allow for an extra few inches.

Model 680 with a bed that lays front to back.

Height is 2.65m but You can spec a 140cm child’s bunk bed as an option that sits above the front seats and adds 35cm to the height of the vehicle making it 3m in total.

Model designation is a reflection of the overall length.

VW staff have been told the basic price of the 600 is 57000€ Inc tax, 4motion plus 4000 and auto plus 2500 but prices to be confirmed In November.

Orders start in Jan and production begins March with delivery’s in May though RH drive may be delayed.

57000 euros....? That's really not sooooo bad. However it's FAR to big for us, we have the Cali precisely because we can use it as an everyday car.

Other people however, will find this perfect

Hmm be wary of that price 57,000€ euros is £51600 (ish) but as VW for some reason class calis as commercial vehicles, can imagine them excluding vat so with vat it would be £61,920 and then of course the OTR costs, tax, reg fees etc so realistically i woukd say around £64k OTR for a basic 600 model and of course then the otions you want to add on. Eg Torch £2k, hi viz vest £800, led lights £3.5k etc!! ;-)

californias are sold under the commercial vehicle brand as they are based on the transporter, California's are classified as passenger cars and are always priced accordingly ie with an OTR price , we as dealers have trouble advertising the correct prices due to the platforms that we advertise on not being passenger car friendly, hence why you get gross non vat qualifying , gross vat qualifying or just plain plus vat.
Agreed that VW don't make it plain and simple though. Key thing is to look at the gross price.
