Just curious what chemicals are in the thetford cassete tank cleaner , not sure if says on bottle label ?
States in manual do not use household cleaners .
Does say about thetford cleaner removes limescale , calcium and grease so surely must be some form of acidic chemical in there to enable this .
From my own research chemicals for removing Calcuim are
Muriatic Acid
White Vinegar
CLR household cleaning
Sulfamic Acid
so must be some harsh chemical in thetford cleaner ??
so to summarise i assume best way to clean waste tank, Safely with freely available products would be
1. White vinegar 50% with water
2. Milton baby bottle cleaning solution
3, don't see any reason why cant use standard Blue waste chemical , to clean waste tank alone , or does this only react with waste alone ??
4. Disinfectant ?
All above left overnight , filled to top , hot water with vinegar to activate vinegar.
But think lingering smell trace is another issue to solve , any ideas ?
On a final note , disposing of chemical waste , its said not safe to dispose in public toilets due to bacteria spillage , but have seen it stated its perfectly safe to dispose of down an outside Manhole in your garden should you have one available ?
Would you agree with this ?
