Hello. Where do people like to store their fridge and what fridge are people buying? I'm stuck on this one and lots of other things seem to depend on getting this part of the puzzle sorted first. My preference is behind passenger seat for ease of access but out of the way under multi board is an option. And what size and brand to get? Yep I would love the CFX35 but out of my price range. Looking at an Outwell 30 or 40, TotalCool 35 or 45 or the Just Kampers 45. Any help might save my family from me over thinking this any longer.

Many thanks

I keep mine behind passenger seat and have CF26, because it came from my other car and was perfect size behind the seat too. It's ok size for 1 person for couple of days. Depending on the trip, I keep there food or just drinks.

TCX21 travelled behind Passenger Seat in Beach for 7 years, work excellently even in Gibraltar/Portugal Summer Heat

Total cool 35 are good, bit noisier than CFX35 when getting up (down) to temp, but silent after.

Thanks Butty. Where do you store it?

We had a CFX35 in our old Beach stored on a slide out boot tray. Sold it when we sold the Beach.

But have since purchased a TOTALFREEZE 35 that we use in our garden room at home. Works great!

That's funny as I was just looking at the Total Cool page and think I have decided on the 35. Many thanks

Their fridges do seem really good value compared to Dometic and Indel B. Their 18L fridge looks a very close copy of the Indel B equivalent. I imagine the difference is in the quality of the compressor.

At the other end of their value scale, I bought a Totalcool 3000 air cooler off eBay. £300 new for what is essentially a small plastic box with a fan

I hear you with the quality of compressor bit but with a two year guarantee it feels like a doable risk.

Many thanks

I have a 2 seat bench beach. I did a bunch of research here to try and find something reasonably priced at the right size but I ended up with the somehat expensive Dometic CFX3 25 https://www.dometic.com/en-gb/outdoor/coolers/electric-coolboxes/dometic-cfx3-25-259719?v=9600028463

It is the perfect size to fit between the front seat (slid all the way back) and the side box. You will however need to recline the seat forwards to open it fully if you have the seat slid all the way back, but that's no big deal. It also fits perfectly on the box next to the 2 seat bench, almost as if it was designed perfectly to fit in these two spots. I tried to find a cheaper alternative in a similar size but it didn't exist 2 years ago. 35litre or bigger starts to get very big and take up way too much room in a beach.

Never felt the need for the compressor, the waeco dometic tcx version piezo cooler is good enough and a lot cheaper, it was good enough in the outback of western Australia in 2015, and has been faultless since

There is a fridge for sale here that is perfect for the Beach, as is the Maxxcamp unit it goes with.

We have and it works great for us, the Waeco/Domestic DF11. Sits between 2 front seats.
Small, but enough for milk, butter, a couple of beers or a bottle of wine ....

Same here (or similar anyway). Still going strong after 7 years and very rarely felt the need for anything bigger.

Hi All, Sorry late to this post

I have a Dellonda 36Litre Fridge Freezer which I have recently put on EBay for very little money.
It’s hardly used and runs on 240 or 12v. It did a brilliant job for us

Do contact us ASAP if you want to grab a bargain. We are near Guildford Surrey

We have a Ocean and bought this additional cooler from Halfords as it fits perfectly between the seats.

We spent a few weeks this summer in France where the temperature was well into the 30's and it kept everything very cold.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, Andy

Those types of fridge can't usually compete with compressor fridges in terms of noise and power consumption. I borrowed one a few years back and couldn't stand the fan noise - maybe technology has improved since then.

Can’t really compete on cooling either. Probably ok for day trips or on hookup, and it does fit between the seats, which is handy.

For a compressor fridge that fits between the seats, this could be a good budget option and very similar to the more expensive Indel B model that I have.
