Possible Cumbria meet - 8 or 15 March?

We have a suggested venue (Thanks HistoryBob);

Strickland Arms,
Great Strickland,
Nr Penrith.

I have suggested the above dates and Storma63 has responded saying they are possible but can't be sure until nearer the time.

Could those above say what they think?

Of course it would be great if others fancied coming along! Even if you're not resident in Cumbria!

Well, they at least have decided on a date. By the time the East Anglia one comes off the T8 will be rolling the roads and I will be great-granny Jen.

I will, possibly, be on the road then, travelling coastward from Newcastle to Essex, cumbria is only next door

Hmm ... so it looks like we only have two definites (us and HistoryBob) and that's just for the one of the two dates I had suggested. I'm thinking I was perhaps a bit too ambitious going for dates in the near future and that maybe we should go for dates further ahead to maximise the chances of people not being booked up?

I started a new thread because I thought a title referring to a meet up might attract more interest.

We're only a couple of hours down the motorway in Cheshire, can't commit to coming at the moment but watching the thread with interest; would be nice to meet some other Cali owners.

We are still hoping to come. Just depends on staff situation as we have a business and someone is sick at the moment

This will probably coincide with one of my semi-annual trips to the Lakes, so I'll probably be able to make either date.

I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if things get locked down, would be good to meet up.

I'm sorry about this but I find that we now can't make the 8 March date as my daughter has now arranged our grandson's birthday party on that day.

As there were in any event only us and HistoryBob able to definitely commit to that date and only us for the 15 March I suggest abandoning both dates.

I feel I've messed up on this, for which I apologise. Of course if others want to continue with either date go right ahead!
