Hi,
I am greg and i live in Athens, Greece.
I just got my new GC680 from Germany
For no apparent reason, my ambient lights, water pumps and toilet flush are not working - plus the automatic step will not retract.
All these happened for no apparent reason. I checked all fuses and all are working properly.
Could anyone help me with any ideas/solution?
I barely drove the RV around the block of my house.

Thank you in advance, Greg

Good morning Greg,

unfortunately, a common problem with some vans. In the first instance go to the electrical cupboard and turn off the big red isolating switch, leave off for 30 seconds. Turn on your ignition. All should work if this doesn’t another member has a description with regards to the step. And disconnecting and reconnecting a blue plug underneath the dash glove box. Mr T.

good luck Greg

YES!!!!
Hello Mr T. you have been a GREAT help! Tried both tricks, as soon as i got your reply, the second one with the blue plug worked. I am really grateful, thanks indeed -
Greg

Hi! Today we have the same problem. Step not working, ambient lights not working, waterpump/toilet not working. Unfortunately in our case resetting the red button and the pulling out/restoring the blue plug behing the glove box does not work. Any else that experinced the same and has a third trick? I'll call VW in the meantime. I can guess my local dealer will not have an immediate answer either. An extra detail that may be relevant: 2 weeks ago the had a recall action for changes to the Thule step. Maybe this triggered the problem?

Did you start the van after carrying out the red/blue switch fix. If not repeat and start van. Good luck
