Thought the same, both the levers to move the bench and open the drawer are still springing back as normal. It was under the middle of the rear shelf, thought initially it was from the tilt mechanism, but that works too. Maybe just a surprise gift from VWSure it is nog from one of de Trays underneeth the backseat?
Looks like it should be either from the handels or locks to keep them in place.
Could be sprung off when making the bed. But you would have noticed since it would have gone it litle more difficult.![]()
Do you have seat covers fitted? If so it could be one of the springs holding the cover on.Just come back from a week in Italy and found this laying in the boot space. Anyone any ideas? Everything appears to be working, definitely wasn't there when packing the van. Pic on wallet for size reference.
Thanks for any ideas, even the wise ones
Cheers,

No just as from factory. Will keep hold of it until something makes itself obvious.Do you have seat covers fitted? If so it could be one of the springs holding the cover on.
I couldn't see one but it would make sense, don't suppose you have a link to a drawing? won't get to it to have a look until SaturdayIs it not one of the springs for the either side mechanism holding and just below the rear parcel shelf?
Bingo, I'd say it's exactly that. Thank you!! will reinstall when i get it back on Saturday.
Its the rear bed base on a T6.1 - part of the ratcheting mechanism that lets you lift the rear of it so you can sit up in bed, or access the boot under itSorry to ask, but where / what is that exactly?
