The rear cupboard shelves were driving me bonkers. Put more than a packet of tissues on them and they'd collapse.

Looks like a general problem but might be only my van?

I've upgraded the shelves (bodged a fix) and it is surprisingly successful.

Very easy, put a thin nail/pin through the gap behind the springy bit on the back corner clips. No damage required, just slips behind. Result, solid useable shelves.

The shelves can still be removed by lifting the near edge.

Even though this is trivial, it's so effective I thought it worth sharing.

I know what you mean, I'm cutting non slip matting for mine
right now and was thinking about sticking the plastic clip-holders
in place as they always spin horizontal when trying to refit the shelf.

Is there a reason why they're not glued in.

That's a good idea. I'll do that as well. Double sided tape should do it.

I used double sided tape cut to fit the clips. They no longer spin and fall out. They can still be pulled off if required. I can’t think of a reason why this would be required.

I taped the holders with some foam tape. Stops rattling and they stay more in place.
