Hi - Anyone know where to get a new/used Rear Bench Seat Replacement Kick Panel Flap Trim Lid (Part # 7D0868231BU71)? Or better yet, does anyone have a "trick" to fixing it? The clip has broken off the panel so it no longer latches in place. It's for my 2002 Weekender.

Not too sure which part that is (can't find a picture).

As you've described it as a weekender I'm guessing you are in north America |(is that the equivilent to the multivan in the UK?). This place lists it as special order: http://www.busdepot.com/7d0868231bu71

If you're in Europe, Gunzl are usually the first place of call for Westfalia parts: http://www.vwbusshop.de/epages/GuenzlCl ... ia%20T4%22

Although I don't see that part number listed.

hope that is of some help,
dan

Thanks for the clarification. Gunzl doesn't seem to have that and it's not a part shared with the Westy Cali, so I have no more ideas :(

You could try asking on the VW T4 Forum (http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk/), there a few multivan owners on there that might be able to help (again I'm assuming that multivan and Weekender are similar things. The do appear to have seats with that part).

Weekender is a type of Multivan sold in the US, I don't know how it worked in the T4, in the T3/Vanagon it was a Multivan with a Wardrobe but no kitchen unit. A sort of part time camper, I always thought they were an excellent idea.

The Vanagon's were Westy's, so you got the West Multivan Layout - with the West Wardrobe at the back.

Could you post a picture of your interior - so we can see where it goes. I thought most parts were charred with Euro vans.

I pinched this photo off of the T4 forum, you can see the part on the seat base:

That's not the same as the Westy Cali bench seat which has smaller, recessed panels.
