Returning home from a weekend away and the rear heater/vent fans kicked in when I turned the ignition on. Checked the front controls and the rear control button was off. Turned the rear heater off from the back seat and all was quiet. Turned ignition off and on again and the rear heater/vent kicked in. Checked all the buttons on the rear control panels and all the buttons seemed to be working - none were stuck as others have reported. Now every time I turn the ignition on the rear heater/vent turns on and the fan noise starts up. Today I found that if I push the sync button on at the front, the heater/vent noise at the rear stops. However turn the ignition off and on again and the sync light goes off and the rear heater/vent kicks in again. I am sure this is a new phenomena as I have not previously been distracted by the rear heater/vent fan noise.Any ideas what I might have done to cause this and how I can reset it so the rear heater/vent doesn’t come on every time I turn the ignition on?

Are the buttons on the rear control unit pushed in and jammed?
Seems to be not infrequent problem on the T6.1. Warranty replacement of control unit.

I have checked and all of the buttons seem ok

if my t6 is set to auto the rear fans often come on. the t6 heater is weird and doesnt go up and down in natural steps.

Ah, so it's not me? seems like moving the temperature from 22C to 23C is the difference between Arctic and Sahara. There is no relation between the temperature displayed and the actual temperature.
