Removing awning

Hi
We have a black awning in our California Beach. Yesterday we tried to remove it for the winter. We followed the instructions on the manual but the 2 screws that hold the awning into the bracket were just too tight. Is this something that a garage needs to do? Any tips so we can do it ourselves?

Keep trying. It's easier with a socket rather than a spanner as you can get more leverage.
I think that there is a bit of thread locking compound on the bolt that just needs the seal breaking.

Try tightening it slightly to break the seal
