T6 Cali On Order
Hi all, I'm pretty sure my pump has gone on my T6 Ocean, no water or pump noises from either the sink tap or the shower attachment, still need to check the fuse and haven't managed to find yet which fuse it is, I know it's under the front seat, I guess if one is blown I will see it ...

However, if it is the pump, I can't find anywhere that tells me where to access it. There are loads of posts /articles about changing the pump, all of them mentioning the difficulty of getting the tank open, but where is the main access? I've tried getting at it from the back where the gas cylinder goes, but it looks like a nightmare trying to access the tank from there and I've seen photos of the tank open from above but I have no idea where this is done from? The only logical place is from the cupboard next to the fridge, but I have a safe in the bottom of that - do I need to pull the safe out?

Any advice appreciated!!

The water tank access hatch is in the bottom of the wardrobe rearwards the other half from the safe. It is a Plastic cover, which then exposes the tank access screw lid. Larger of the two, the smaller one is the level sensor.

Thanks for the reply! This is where I looked, but I only find the screw lid that accesses the space for the cooking gas cylinder here, just behind the shower attachment. I can see the water tank behind the gas cylinder but it's completely inaccessible being underneath all the cupboard space, not at all like I see in the photos online. I attach a photo.

Other side of this partition, in the bottom of the wardrobe, so other side (safe side)

So you already looked it up so good of you, you saw pictures and wondered where the access point is but you have found it by now. Fine. Anyway, did you get the screw lid open? If so: good. If not: don't force it because you can break off plastic pieces. How to open the lid,, with a tool you buy or make, you will have read already, but it is best to do this from the cupboard above the gas bottle hence the pictures you saw of it.

I made this tool to unscrew the tank bung so I could get inside to work on the pump:

2-off dia. 20mm dowels each protruding 15mm, on 96mm centres, in a piece of ca. 320mm long 12mm thick ply.

(it’s kind to the plastic spokes on the tank lid and avoids you making horrible dents or gouges in them with cruder metal tools)

Yeah I managed to get it open with pliers and a wrench, after having tried pointy things and a hammer but yeah being scared to break it lol. The pliers work perfectly. I'm waiting for the new pump to arrive so I can fit it, looks pretty simple

I have zero ability to make stuff like this, thankfully pliers and a wrench work!!

Well it only requires drilling a pair of holes in a piece of ply at the right separation, then to plug with dowels of the same size - but if you’re ‘in’ I guess you’re happy, so well done, and ONWARDS . . . !
