So, I called VW Colindale today and they are not filling me with confidence regarding the replacement of my leaky bellows. A short chat with a lovely lady at Breeze Poole on the other hand was a completely different experience. Poole is a long way from me, so I was hoping to find a more local dealer.

Please list below the van centre that fitted your new bellows and any positive or negative experience.

Thanks!

Mine’s booked in at Breeze Poole for Wednesday morning. Will let you know how it went by the end of the week.

If going to Citygate, try Wooburn Green. I have found them to be better for Californias.

It's a significant job. Having a helpful dealer makes a world of difference. A few hours extra of travelling is nothing compared to the pain you may* encounter with an unknown dealer (or one known to be less helpful).

*I don't have experience with any of the listed dealerships and neither is everyone's experience universally the same either of any given dealership, but if there's one which generally gets thumbs up from this community, it's probably worth the effort to use that dealership and save yourself frustration and potentially repeat visits in the long term

Our bellows was replaced by the dealer in Chelmsford and they did a good job. That was 3+ years ago and it has been fine since... touch wood!
