Folks...do VW do a replacement bulb pack for the Cali? Travelling to France at the end of the month and the guy
in the local dealership looked at me and asked for the part number! Super, smashing, great.

a lot of the new fancy lights are only really replaceable by a dealer or a user with the correct tools. Personally I buy the cheapest halfords travel kit regless of whether they fit or not just incase a gendarme asks to see it...

...thanks Loz, I suppose when you think about John D'Arm is hardly going to ask for a demonstration to show they fit on the side of the road. Cheap and cheerful it is then.

Which vehicle have you got. If it is a T5, NOT with Zenon lights then a generic kit will cover the rear lights and front parking and indicator lights However the Dipped beam and certainly the DRL/Main beam (H15) won't be covered.

Just got a kit from GSF, only £7.50 + VAT, contains H1, H4, H7 plus a few generic others which should be sufficient to meet French legal requirements. Any major problems and I will be ringing VW Assistance!

For clarification the GSF kit has H7, H4, H1, side, indicator, tail/fog/reverse & stop/tail plus 20,15 & 10 amp fuses, so no DRL or Fog, do you consider that is sufficient?

Thanks for that WelshGas. It's a T5 not with Zenon so I really should buy main and dipped replacements separately.
I have yet to see any Replacement Bulb kit to include the H15 bulb, nor the H4B for the foglight. The VW kits normally have 1 x H4 or 1 x H7 headlight bulb and do not include the H15 or HB4 bulbs.

You need the vehicle safe to drive. That means you need replacement bulbs for Rear side lights / Indicators / Brakes and Front Dipped Beam ( H7 ).
If the DRL light ( H15 ) fails then drive on Dipped Beam until you can get a replacement.
Fog light fails then drive on Dipped Beam until you can get a replacement

What they do not want is some numpty driving on Main Beam because their Dipped Beam has failed, or no indicators or Brake lights.

Even the RAC or AA bulb kits do not come with these specialist bulbs.
