After a good few months of deliberation and research we decided to buck the trend of replacing the standard 16 inch alloys on our Beach and have them resprayed-Yes I know that bigger alloys "fill the gap" more but we have been put off by the fact that some tyres over 18inch may not be perfect match for the weight we carry on board with equipment and the four of us.
We have also been happy with the tyre wear of the Good year Marathons which are van rated.
Some of the prices we have been quoted for black 18inch alloys with new tyres have made our eyes water....got these resprayed for a fraction of the price by a reputable company locally.
I have never been able to find an image of these alloys resprayed fitted to a van so posting in case others are going through similar thought processes.IMG_1942.jpegIMG_1944.jpegIMG_1945.jpeg

Very nice! Have been thinking of doing likewise, so thanks for posting.
Did you go gloss black? Paint or powder coat? What was the cost? Thanks.

They look so much better than standard

Did you leave the van with them or put a spare set of wheels on whilst the originals were painted?

Drove in at 08:30 yesterday, got a lift home, picked them up just now-That cost is all in, strip, paint-balance etc

Although not usually a fan of black wheels, for some reason especially on red vehicles. I think your idea not to go the fashionable 18" route, but to make the wheel and tyre blend as one, works well to trick the eye on, "filling the gap" as you put it.
The overall look, with the white van, black side flash, black wheels, and just a little bit a red with the logo looks great.

Thanks-very nice thing to say, much appreciated

Looks great. Going to get my alloys sprayed black too. I had black steels on over the winter and much preferred them over the silver alloy wheels.
