The right side of the infotrainment screen in my 2018 T6 California Beach has stopped working. This prevents me selecting which apps I want to use... only the bottom right corner works. The rest of the screen apart from the right 2cm works normally. Is this a fixable problem, or do I need a new system and if I need a new system which is the best to get?

Ours stopped last week in exactly the same spoT. VW will only replace the entire unit upwards of £2500.

Find a local audio specialist who will replace just the touch screen. It was a fraction of the cost of VW and he said that VW always get him to replace the faulty screens of cars brought in a trade-ins but VW will not offer the service direct to customers as the whole unit makes them more profit!!!

Don't got to VW....this is usually an easily fixed problem to do with the digitiser..if you're down South go to Surrey Sat Nav Systems. Think the main man is called Hamid but he can fix this, very pleased with the service I received after a VW diagnostics session wiped out my Sat Nav system so they come recommended.

Have a look at this thread, especially page 2.

There is a DIY fix if your competent or you can get someone to do it if you’re not. Shop around though as there seems to be a big difference in prices being charged for the same work.

I was sat in Breeze on Friday waiting for my MOT when a chap walked in with the same problem, I really wanted to tell him to go to Hamid, but thought it wouldn’t go down well in the showroom. I didn't want to remove mine myself when it went from a bit of an issue to a major problem so drove up to get Hamid to replace it

+1 for SatNav systems in Chertsey,

This is possibly one of the best companies I have ever used for anything, which is a bold claim but true.

Hamid & Adam know how to provide a great service & VW use them.
