I’ve searched through the forums and can’t see to find the answer to this question as some old links seems to have expired.
Has anyone managed to remove the RNR bed in a T6 and if so it is simply a matter of removing the tops of the rails and sliding seat up, tipping back and then removing. Or does it require removing bolts under the van?
Also is it only the short bits at top of rails that can be removed or can the whole rail come out?
Thanks
This is what it tells me online which seems more complicated than I want:
To remove a VW California rock and roll bed, first disconnect all electrical components, as the bed contains wiring for lights and other systems. Next, remove the bed frame itself by unbolting it from the chassis. This will likely require a person inside the van to hold the bolts and a person underneath to remove the nuts, possibly after taking off the rear bumper and heat shields for better access.
