Roll Out Awning issue

We had an issue with our rollout awning this weekend. There was a clicking noise when trying to wind the awning in and out and a bit of a judder. At one point the awning was stuck and very difficult to move in or out and the it felt as though the operation was slipping. Any thoughts/advice on what might be wrong and what parts might need replacing would be really appreciate.

Possibly one of the gears has been damaged. They are very sensitive to over tightening.
The gear box can be replaced in situ I understand.

Yes. I think you are probably correct, but probably worth giving them a call first.
