Has anyone fitted roof bars to their Cali. As it uses a channel as opposed to the captive nuts of the normal van I wondered if this has been done and whether they still have the loading strength for cross bars etc.
This is for looks mostly I have to admit.

Those are designed for panel vans and can't be fitted to your Cali. The roof has pre-installed T-Tracks running down the length of the roof on each side. So no bolt holes in the roof which that design requires.

Ah - you mean rails rather than bars. The Cali is pre-fitted with tracks rather than rails. If the rails you are looking at are designed to bolt vertically to a roof then I'd imagine you could modify them to bolt into captive plates inserted into the tracks (in the same way the official roof bars do). But whilst that might suffice for style / show I wouldn't trust them for any roof load. For that you need to go for the official bars or alternative purpose designed alternatives such as e Thule bars.

Remember max roof load is 50kg for a Cali. Normal transporters are 100kg or so!
