Roof rails

Our Cali had a bit of a spring clean today, ready for the new season.

Cleaning the roof I realised the roof rails needed some attention. We had quite a bit of green algae developed along the edges and inside of the rails, so a tooth brush was the answer.

The point of this thread, is that the black plastic 'ends' seem to accumulate a lot of dirt and debris underneath that needs to be removed so that the roof rails drain properly. There's a hole in the bottom of each black plastic end cap that the toothbrush cleared, but it needed a good blast with the hose through the sides and the hole to clear all the muck out.

I still need to clean the passenger side awning rail (the spare one) but my toothbrush was too big, I'll need to keep an eye out for some small cleaning thingy to get in there!!!!
