Roof seal sticking?

When raising the roof on my Cali the seal on the roof seems to stick. It is still pretty new.
Anyone got any ideas on how to lubricate the two halves of the seal please? Is there someting that cane be used without destroying the rubbers?

Ours used to do this, it will stop in time .. just keep the rubber nice and clean, its perfectly normal.

Silicon spray works well, or just wash it with soap and water and allow to dry before closing.

Mine sounded like it was sticking so I treated it with some Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Care spray I had in a kit that came with a previous car, solved the problem for me.
