T6 Roof Rubber Seal Shape

Hi All

Can any T6 ocean or beach owners confirn that the seal of the roof on the front edge where it raises up is the same as mine please?

It's the same on both sides

It looks odd like it's not connected but i cant see how it could be any other way unless mine is warped somehow

@Borris I just had the whole seal off (cleaned under there whilst i was at hit) and then try to form it back to shape, would you say this is the same as yours now, or is yours really tight against the roof?

Its only the raised bits, the rest of the seal is tight against the roof

I actually have two Calis and on both the seals are tight to the roof. I think you should speak to your dealer and insist on a replacement seal. Has it been off before?

Not whilst i have had it - it was a VW demo from new.

Did it had a roofcorrosion repair , maybe a front part has been covered and therefore the seal is coming up ....allthoug to me it not looks to have a cover on the front section..

It's a ocean from April 2016... So hope it hasn't had a repair already

Although i did notice 2 very small bumbs in the paint on the front edge when i took the seal off

Did you actually look for signs of the paint bubbling when you had the seal off?

Yes, all the way round, just 2 tiny bumbs on the front edge, could even be paint under the dirt rather than bubbles, but will get it checked

First time yesterday that I had a close look under the seal for corrosion. Seal on ours is the same as yours around the front edge and I'd had concerns whilst cleaning all the crap that was in the seal.
Ocean2016. No corrosion tho

It is great news that they are sorting this out but how on earth did it pass quality control at the factory? These sort of problems are happening over and over again on T6's
