Rubber Awning rail

Evening all

Can someone help or point me in the direction of a relevant post I have searched but cannot find what I am looking for.

I have a my68 cali beach which has a rubber insert in the awning rail. I went away for the first time this weekend and attach the driveway awning to the rubber insert, the awning keeps pulling out of the insert as it seems it is not strong enough to hold the awning . Has any had a similar problem and how was it resolved please.

Yes very common problem if you call the club shop they can supply you with a kador strip that fits straigh into the awning rail doing away with the rubber insert
