Safe: Replacement lock

No keys for the Safe. Had to drill out the lock. It was empty

Is it possible to buy a replacement lock?

Do you know if there is an OEM part number?

Finding one just the right size on eBay might be tricky.

If VW did supply them it would be an expensive thing.
Like HC said hardware store or locksmiths will have them.

According to the Parts Catalogue there are no separate parts. It is sold as one unit. Parts 17,18 &19 Although there is a link to another German Company.

I noticed Unico do a version of the cam lock with a combination lock, might be a better option than another key?

Did you order one of these? I drilled out the lock (which was worryingly easy to do...); the only issue is the lock I've removed has a smaller body than any of the replacement ones at Unico (or EBay). So it might be a case of making the hole in the safe door bigger with a dremel, or seeing if I can source a small bodied lock. Would be interested to hear of anyone else's experience.
