Scotland and Ben Nevis in Feb half term

Not too late at all as we will be going for May half term. I have found out so much from this thread already and this sounds a good and manageable option.
The campsite in Glen Nevis has a good shop and a bar 'n fair restaurant 150 metres away. About 1/2 mile away at the very foot of the route up to the Ben is a very good bar and restaurant with things ranging from fish n chips to seriously good venison. Kid friendly.
Not a great fan of Fort Willian itself though there's quite a good bookshop.

Two of the worst storms we've experienced in Europe were in Glen Nevis.
80 mph winds in the glen for one.
The glen flooded out for the other.
Cali survived both.

A breakfast van arrived most mornings and did good business.
A fish n chip van many tea times.

And I'd be one of them.
Crossing is not difficult at all, honest.
Go as slowly as you like on the first few meters to build up a skill.
Then go as slowly as you like.
I had a French guy behind me who'd been back and forth several times in the previous hour shouting instructions to me in fast French because he thought I was French. Even when he started in English it didn't help.
Having no one behind you and nobody waiting helps a lot.

You need to be about 5' tall to comfortably rteach the twp ropes for the hands.
A little 4' girl was crying because she couldn't reach to go across.
She cried so much her dad hoisted her on his shoulders and did the necessary.
She was exstatic.
It was hilarious.

Once the rope bridge has been reached there is a well-defined and fairly flat path [without crossing the bridge] that continues to Rannoch Station. It's sign posted and about 10 miles.
Following the path and turning back when you feel like it is a very pleasant and remote walk even in bad mist.

We're social distancing atm so might take the Cali up to Glen Nevis (we live in Glasgow) and do a bit of this.
The alert to a thread-addition reminded me what a good walk it was.
And probably easy to 'social-distance' :thumb
