Service and oil change reminders

Our 6.1 Cali has just been for the first service at 2 years at VW West Yorkshire. Not a great experience as they were really busy and stressed it seems.

Very annoyingly the oil and service reminders have not been reset and they say we have to go back to get them to do it. Is this something I can do to avoid the journey?

Perhaps more concerning is my lack of confidence that the oil was actually changed. The digital service record they emailed me just shows inspection service completed and no mention of oil change. Is this normal?

Try this.

To reset the service notification on a VW T6.1,
turn the ignition off, activate hazard lights, then press and hold the 0.0/SET button on the instrument cluster while turning the ignition back on (without starting the engine) until "Reset Oil" appears, then release and press OK/RESET on the wiper stalk or steering wheel to confirm; repeat for the Inspection interval, holding the button longer to switch from oil to inspection reset, and finally turn off hazards and ignition to complete.

Regarding if the oil has been changed. There is an Oil quality sensor which shows miles to next change. This will change if old oil has been changed.

Pull out the dipstick and look to see if the oil is black !

If they made a mistake ask them to rectify it , they could come to you !
