Sites near Cardiff

Looking for suggestions for somewhere to stay close to Cardiff City Centre - going to a Gig at the Principality Stadium - want to go and stay in van - so quiet countryside but within a 20 minute commute to city centre. has anyone any ideas?

My daughter lives in Cardiff and the only site I could find was the council owned one in the city but it was booked out any of the dates I wanted.
If we take the camper we tend to stay further out and drive in or book the Premier Inn in the middle of Cardiff as they often have pretty reasonable rates.

Your best bet may be to stay ay at Pontcanna Caravan Site Fields Park Road, Cardiff CF11 9LB. It's a pleasant, fairly quiet site, within walking distance of the city centre.

If you’re a Caravan & Motorhome member there is a CL site near Culverhouse. Buses into City nearby.

Whatever you do - I would try and get a booked taxi out - late night taxis in Cardiff travelling out of the city - monsterous charges. Will be easy to get one near Chippy Alley. Or walk up to the Castle not far from the stadium.

There is apparently a nice site at Tredegar House. Easy route out of Cardiff to drop off there.
That will be nice and quiet.

Came on to recommend Tycoch leisure as well. Nice site I've used when doing a cycling event. Facilities block was quite basic but from the photos it looks like its been re-done.
