Sliding door catch broken off

The door catch on my Beach has always been an issue and one that I struggled to understand as the mount is largely concealed. It has now broken off completely (see pictures). Has anyone got any thoughts about how I might fix it? Thank you.

New one from VW.

Good news - VW car dealers are now allowed to order/supply VW commercial parts unless they are vehicle specific i.e. need coding to the vehicle.

Don't forget to be sure that they are supplying parts for a right sliding door if they are not using your VIN.
