Small campsites in southern Germany/Austria?

we are currently heading south on the Romantic Road in Germany but are struggling to find small campsites!! We are in Dinkelsbuhl at the mo and want to head towards Salzburg and then eventually back through the Black Forest. Does anyone have and recommendations?? We are a bit fed up of sitting in a motor home car park!!! Thank you!!

Can highly recommend the following:
https://www.camping-belchenblick.de/ in Black Forest, nice small campsite with an outdoor Olympic pool 100 yards down the road where you get free entry as a guest. It’s immaculate and lovely. You can walk to Staufen im Breisgau along a river path and go to cafe Decker - it’s won awards as one of the best Kondittorei in Germany, the cakes and food are to die for! Lovely little market town too.

In Salzburg we stayed at http://www.panorama-camping.at/cms/ - it’s a lovely little site on a hill overlooking Salzburg. You can walk down the hill for 10 minutes and then get the bus around Salzburg and to all the famous spots, including the ‘Sound of Music’ landmarks. Perfectly located to drive to Berchtesgaden (eagle’s next), Koenigslach, salt mines, toboggan run, cable car, Rossfeld panorama strasse.

We stayed at both last year on our Germany, France, Croatia, Switzerland tour - kids loved them so much we’ve been forced to agree to make them our first two stops on our trip to Italy in August!

Perhaps too big for what you are looking for, however we stayed in a place called Scharzwaldhorn in Simonswald near Freiburg. Really enjoyed it, however it was in 2010 with a trailer tent for 2 weeks
