My Solar setup is just wired direct to the +tve and -tve of the Rear Leisure Battery.

Resurrecting an old thread. @WelshGas what diameter cable would you suggest between leisure battery & solar controller? I see 16mm

Did you fuse the +ve cable & or fit a kill switch?

I used Rogers Kit with a ? 10 amp fuse on the +tve.

This is more than adequate for 1 panel.

It depends on your solar capacity. Typically you are looking to carry less than 20A. For this 4.0mm cable is sufficient, for most <300W setups 2.5mm will probably do.

Also depends on if multiple panels are connected in series or parallel. Series is higher voltage and less amps (but poor shading performance) while parallel is lower voltage and higher amps (with better shading performance)
