I have a 6 months old California which has developed a loud and irritating squeak sound which I’m sure is coming from the rear seat/bed. I’ve emptied the van to ensure it’s not something I’ve put in!
It’s likely something I can get fixed under warranty but wondered if any of you California veterans had experienced this and could suggest an easy, quick fix to save a garage visit.
It’s happening at all speeds and is worse as you’d expect depending on road surface conditions.
Any thoughts gratefully received!

Put somebody in the back with decent hearing plus a can of silicon spray and a can of wd40 and go for a drive over some great british back roads

I think Campervan time covered something similar in their squeaks and rattles YouTube video. Search for them on YouTube.

There are little white plastic bushes within the areas circled in the photo, think they are for the reclining mechanism for the backrest, I sprayed some wd40 from the back and also the top which you can see from the rear seat bottom if you pull it back a bit.

This worked for me, hope it does for you

Don’t know if you have child seats fitted but they can squeak badly at the ISOFIX point when the seat is unoccupied. It’s the e metal on metal contact point.

Wrap some cloth tape around the isofix fixings, that will stop these squeaks

Another source of irritating squeaks is one or both fold-away seats in the rear door - I take them out and silicone spray the slots where they slide into - that sorts it out for about a year then I have to repeat!

I have the brandrup iextend mattress. When folded, if it's pushed up against the plastic on the back of the rear seat, it squeaks. When I push the bed back, I pull it forward a couple of inches and usually avoid the squeak.
If you push the plastic on the back of the rear seat, you might hear the squeak. Cheap plastic...
