Just finished tuning the sound in my little bus. Plenty of info in the Internet about how to do this, you basically need a pink noise generator and a sound analyser. For the latter I used the Audio Controls iPhone app. No pic of the graph from the vanilla install but here are some pics of the graph after I'd adjusted the crossovers (high to mid) and mid to low channels on the amp), and also the graph after minor tweaking on the head unit EQ. In the first picture notice the big deadspots at around 350Mhz, 1Khz and 12Khz as well as the spike at 2Khz.

The point here is that even after upgrading speakers, head unit, sub and amps, you'll still likely have a reasonably coloured sound until you tune everything up. This is where most people stop because they aren't getting the improvements they expect. Instead it's a good idea to tune the sound every time you upgrade something to get the most out of your investment.
