Hi T4 owners,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a source to replace the 16" steel wheels of my T4 Cali Event 150PS van? Most T4s were 15" except for the V6 and 150PS engines, which used 16"

Steel or Alloy. I believe the original alloy size is 7J x 16 H2. They are 112 x 5, but I do not know the offset? Also, I do not know where to source the centre caps. I am trying to keep with the style of the originals, which I have problems finding. Tyre/wheel deals are interesting as I plan to fit Continental Van Eco 215/60 R16

Any help is greatly appreciated.

We had 15" Caravelle alloys fitted to our T4, with Conti VanCo's; (Not sure about 16" though). :

Carefull if looking at the 16" alloys that came with the 150s. There is a Touran wheel that looks VERY similar, but doesn't meet the load requirements.

At last. Alloys fitted to my 21-year old Cali T4. Great service from rimstyle.com who put together a good alloy/tyre deal. These are Dezent TH 16" 6.5 ET52 112x5 very similar to the original alloy specs for the 150PS engine with the correct load rating > 930kg - just have to find some VW centre caps to fit or use stickers to finish it off.

The van looks like new. Highly recommended upgrade, without going too bling.

16" steels to be refurbished and maybe winter tyres fitted, should I travel abroad in winter.

New Continental Van Eco rolls well. 49mpg over 150-mile run back from Norfolk. This helps as it is now £150 for a full tank!

49mpg?? 30mph?

Nope. 60-65mph on Motorways, 50 on A-roads. My usual 70+ Motorway and spirited A-road returns 35mph.
