T5 fridge gas strut

I own a t4 California but want to replace the fridge hinge with a t5 gas strut type one,does anyone know if you can buy these separate from vw.
Or could somebody measure there's for me and let me know how long it extends to when lids open please,many thanks

Fixing point till fixing point 19cm (don't know UK sizes)
Sure you wil find it as sparepart , but don't if thisone fits a early T4 model

Just about to replace our T5 fridge strut after 6 years of ownership without one. Your photos really help with what was a jigsaw puzzle, no elements of original remaining.

You could also try SGS Ltd in Derby. They do all sorts of struts and fittings are are almost certain to be cheaper than VW.
