How are you mounting your cellphone to the dashboard? I have the type that's a suction cup to a plastic disc (very strong) then the disc stuck to the dash. Used it on other vehicles, but this one isn't sticking.

I've tried 3m tape that came with mount, and some silicon. Better adhesive? Screws?

I drive off-road, so magnets don't work.

Android auto is unreliable

EDIT: the green circle is the ideal location ✓
My wife tried using the magnet on the vent and her phone fell off

Personally I've had no issues with the Brodit ProClip system, highly recommended and adaptable.

Expensive but worth it in my opinion, you don't want your phone falling off while you're driving!

I think this is what classy taxi drivers use.

Not in the UK and unfamiliar with this, what is it you like about it?

How do you attach mount to car, and phone to mount?

i love the brodit on my T6 and will get one for my 6.1 too! Great system, if you don't mind it covering about 75% of one vent. I wired mine in so it charges my phone. See here of more:

I have been using the Benks magnetic wireless charger/holder. Attaches to the louvres of one of the vents and plugs into the USB-C charge point. Very secure even using one of their Kevlar phone cases. Charges the phone on the go without messing with wires.

Thanks. I have a large(ish) phone and go off-road, so magnets don't work.

Photo added after original post....

For me, the green area is the ideal location. My wife tried using the vent magnet and her phone fell off on the rough roads

Hi @chris ratay traveler
Just out of interest, what do you need on your phone that’s not available on your Media Pro screen via Carplay?

It's rock solid, and they provide magnetic and non-magnetic parts for every phone (&tablet) imaginable.

Used it on my golf too. The one I have in my T6.1 attaches to the vent (I don't use) nearest the window.

Android auto keeps failing me. It also limits my ability to easily modify routes when on the go, so even if didn't keep having connection issues (tried multiple phones), i still prefer the nav on my phone.

I use the SP connect vent mout for the Phone. and I have an Motorbike mount wich I also use.
Neven had annu issue.
Even convinced the wife to use it aswel.

I have a Pioneer head unit and connect (wireless/mirror) my phone to the unit. I use Android auto (no problems at all) but the Pioneer will also connect Car Play, also wireless.
