T6.1 Ocean Rearview Camera Retrofit

Hi, I just had an original VW rearview camera installed, but now I am getting the following warnings:

1) Please check rear-left turn signal
2) Please check left brake light

and a note stating: "230V External power supply. Please disconnect charging cable."

All messages pertain to the lefthand corner of the van, it being a lefthand drive.

Obviously, none of the above is wrong and all is working, although my blinker is doing double speed initially when faults appear first.

It seems that the issues pop up after reversing the car, but I have not extensively tested this yet.

Any idea as to what the garage could have done wrong?

Sounds like a bad earth, they have probably connected the camera power supply into the reversing light loom and not correctly tightened up the earth somewhere near the rear left light unit.

Canbus error?, disconnect power to camera and check for same faults.
