For all you vw guru's out there I have a technical/ possibility question about the new T6.1 upper bed. I have seen pictures of the upper bed base and apparently the mattress is all in one piece, also it is meant to be very comfy due to the change in the base? Do you think this configuration would fit in the T6 and I wonder how much it would cost to do this. Any advice or comments much appreciated

I'm sure it would fit, but the cost (if purchase possible), would be steep!
I've been interested since seeing it and would think it's an improvement - any 6.0 to 6.1 owners with experience yet?

I can confirm the T6.1 is more comfy on the upper bed. I had a very nice lie down for 5 minutes and it's better. The upper mattress is more like a duvalay now. I ordered 3 new Calis and will get them in April.

I had a Westfalia with these froli springs and there really comfortable

My 2014 California has a timber started upper her base which we find quite comfortable, how does the new plastic pad springs arrangement fair in terms of comfort.

Had a look at a 2024 California today.

Never slept on slats myself, but I find the new plastic thingy quite comfy.
Having said that, a 5mm memory foam topper makes it very comfy indeed.
