For those interested in having Hill Descent retrofitted to their T6 California, I had this done on mine last week...

They don't list this is an option for the T6 (it is listed for the T6.1), but if you call and ask them, they can do it for £395 + VAT. It costs a bit more than the T6.1 retrofit since there is a little more wiring to do on the T6.

Mine was a little cheaper because I had it done while I was there having something else done.

There are a couple of threads on the T6 Forum site. Basically you need add an input wire into the ABS module to a switch, as above most people buy the factory switch, but it just switches to ground. A couple of other wires to get the illumination to work. The ABS needs a couple of adaption channels changed using VCDS etc.

The wire through the bulkhead is the tricky bit and ensuring the ABS connection has a proper seal on the terminal of the new wire.

I have all the bits, but decided against it with the van still under warranty/ All-In-one.
(Which it isn’t anymore)

Having done a reasonable amount of ‘soft roading’ I’d opine this is a worthwhile upgrade. It works really well (especially when on grippy rubber) on my T6 where it was a factory fit option, if anything better than some proper off roaders I’ve driven.
