T7 Cali Ocean Entertainment touchscreen cracked

Morning all, note of caution, probably all cars with touchscreen. Dropped a mug from upstairs through the entrance shutter. Fell onto the touchscreen and cracked it. It no longer works(touch). Had a quote from VW Uk yesterday £950 plus VAT and fitting. The whole unit is required! Not sure if there are any workarounds?

Satnav Systems at Surbiton are excellent!! Speak to Hamid, you will end up with a better system than the one that you replace.
