Am I missing something in between the chairs

There is already another thread where this item is also discussed. I have a T5.1 and have never noticed that I am/was missing something. Some say there is another foam part to divide the 2 chairs.
I don't miss it, I think. So I won't bother.
Others complain about squeecking noise from the chairs rubbing that foam part, so If nothing really happens, you could as well let it be?

According to the dealer its only there for travelling purposes to the showroom of the dealer then it normally gets removed

Someone suggested that the polystyrene should be stuck on under a warranty repair, which is slight overkill! Prit Stik works fine. Failing that a dab of no more nails.
