My 2010 DSG180 is due for tax renewal at the end of the month.

On the V11 it is 214 G/KM and indicated as a Diesel Car....£270 for the year.

I am aware that this means that my dealer registered the Cali incorrectly from new.

Does anyone know what I can do to correct the situation, what the correct tax payable is and if I can claim a refund of overpaid tax for the last 3 years.

Thanks

Hi
ours is a 180 dsg and renewed the tax for 12 months this week and it was £220 for 12 months and the tax class is a private/light goods (PLG)
sorry but dont know how to rectify your issue.

I remember reading somewhere that this was quite common 18months+ ago. I can't remember where I read about it though! From what I remember, it was a simple process to change the classification with a form from the DVLA. Don't recall if anyone got any refunds. When we get home tomorrow I'll have a dig and see if I can find the discussions...

Should have said, I got the vehicle reclassified and a rebate !! Result
