The best campsites on the west coast of Italy

We are most likely travelling from Sweden to the Amalfi coast in a week. We have found what appears to be a great camping in Sorrento:

On the way home, we are trying to find a nice camping next to the ocean. We know of a few in the north part, in Levanto there is Aqua Dolce for example.
However, we have no idea where to visit from Naples to Pisa.
Any recommendations are welcome.

Sorry, no experience here, but I’d be interested in hearing of your final site choices, and how it goes down on Amalfi. That’s one of our top “must do” tours.

After some research on diverse forums we have found a great campsite on the Amalfi Coast where we have booked a week for about 420€ with a place directly with an ocean https://www.villaggionettuno.it/

The Villagio Nettuno was a great camp site. For anyone planning to visit the Amalfi Coast I recommend this place. Much less tourists and cheaper than the tourist nested places. They offer boat tours to Capri and Positano.

Between Naples and Rome, the village of Sperlonga, south of Terracina is superb. As you exit the last tunnel travelling north before Sperlonga, campsite on the left bang on the beach. If you make it, enjoy, safe travels and adventures.
