the t5 wont quit smokin!

Still not fully resolved. I sent the last clip of the smoking turning off to the dealer and the guy i spoke too wanted to talk to one of the service engineers about it but but replyed yet! It has smoked again and this time it was just befor i had a good 20min run home and while moving it was no problem. No smoke came into the cabin by the time i got into my home town the run stop was up and running and it dehaved completly normally!! I think it is the dpf regeneration. It is the only thing that really makes sense. But i cant seem to get a straight answer on why its doing it at low revs useually in stationary traffic?? Im taking note on the millage and keeping records to see if i can see a pattern then hopfully i can get it to a dealer at the right timing!! If they see it a tell me its normal then that would be magic.. But the way it looking so far if i dont get an answer soon itll have to go and so endith my brife love afair with a van...

There´s a guy up near Bluewater who does pendle performance tuning.
It might be worth asking him before you give up with it.
I´m sure he´d know more about it than a vw fitter.

Ohh nice. Do you have a name?? Company or somthing? It smoked again with the wife... She is propper on the war path... Oops i checked the millage from last burn 160 miles... All short trips as im comuting with it!! . will call the vw dealers tomorrow and see if i can get an answer!

Ohh sorry pendle performance tuning.i just got what you ment!! Ill give them a shout! Any one know any t5 specialists in kent area??

We live in Bavaria and for the tast couple of weeks it has been freezing and snowing.When we drive short trips in our Cali it does exactly the same.We took it down to our Bavarian dealer only ten minutes away(Autohaus Schweiger,Nesselwang)The Meister mechanic informed us that it is perfectly normal in these weather conditions.When it gets below a certain temperature the heater kicks in and does it’s job.At first it raised our eyebrows but now it is normal,hope this helps
